Ghost of Tsushima review (like that) - worst Sony exclusive?

* Mercilessly for the cowards without honor * * Mercilessly * * His time has come, Jin Sakai * Hello everyone, Anton Logvinov is with you once again, Ghost of Tsushima will be out today and I am sure many of you have been waiting for a complete review of this game And many people have already asked what is my opinion about this game. That is why I feel I must speak. That is not going to be a complete review, just my opinion. The point is, in the past few weeks, I really, honestly tried to force myself to play this game, but it didn't. I did not understand and could not understand why it was happening that way. How could Sony release something like this? Because based on several hours I played it, I can only say one thing. This is Sony's worst PS4 lifetime exclusive. And it's very strange that the life of this console's exclusives ends like this * Take your life ... With honor * In fact, I was really trying to get into this game. Because, you know, I've said it many times. I don't like to play in the summer, I literally force myself to play, that's one Two, after projects like The Last of Us 2 it's really hard to play anything. I also know myself very well, if I force myself to overcome that lack of will. After that it will disappear and I will begin to enjoy the process. That's why, hour after hour, I tried to enjoy the Ghost of Tsushima that I couldn't understand, is it because I played The Last of Us 2 before or is this game crap? And the more I played, the more I leaned towards the second * I'm Harunobu Adachi * * A descendant of the legendary Yoshinobu Adachi * Actually, during the last demo it became clear to me that not everything is very good with the Phantom of Tsushima. I had my doubts when they showed it a couple of months ago. And it looked weird, right? They released it after The Last of Us 2 in mid-summer. This is not the best time in the gaming industry. And I think you should find a new category for. It's kind of Sony AAA-B. So the game looks like a Sony game. It has gorgeous graphics, the scenes are amazing, very high quality production. But when you start playing and you start digging deeper, It plays almost like an older generation game. In Tsushima's case, it feels like a PlayStation 2 game. The days gone by, for example, made a similar impression, but it was much better. There, at least, you had that unique biker vibe, you had a motorcycle to play and ride. Here we have a similar situation. Unusual configuration on samurai. Unusual visual style, everything is very beautiful. Millions of blades fly in the scenes, the grass sways The paint came alive And makes an impression for the first two hours, but then you start yawning constantly * 80 samurai * * Against an entire army * * We just ... Slowed down the invasion * The setting is a bit intriguing at first The Mongols are invading Japan. It's a weird setting and it's great. Samurai with their code of honor were not prepared for such a treacherous and bloodthirsty adversary using entirely different tactics. All the classic dialogues about honor from samurai movies look pompous and cool * Traditions * * Honor * * We are the warriors of Tsushima * * We are samurai! * But the more you play, the more it starts to bother you. Now I want to laugh at the modern toxic community that makes unreasonable claims of good games because this game is made for them. dialogues It is impossible to look or listen. Especially in Russian. Endless, stupid conversations and cliche about honor * For a samurai the main thing is patience and discipline * * Even if the opponent uses cowardly tricks * * Your father has fallen in battle protecting his son * * He died as a warrior. This is a great honor * * We are honorable people ... And frankly, I don't know why we expected different results. It's like the guys from Seattle are making a game about the Soviet Union. And we would get all the stereotypes you can imagine. Yes, Japanese culture is not native to us, but even despite From this, it is obvious how stereotypical this game is. It is 100% stereotyped. If the developers are imbued with Japanese culture, they wouldn't be able to show it in the game and over time it starts to bother a lot. Jin Sakai * * Lord Shimura's nephew * * And I'm not a coward! * The game is disappointing almost immediately because it turns out that the combat mechanics are awkward and broken Yes, they tried to convey the essence of samurai battles, where you should use parry But it turned out not to be so interesting and you reluctantly start comparing it with Sekiro, which is much better * Go ahead! We cannot withdraw! * And in terms of combat mechanics: Ghost of Tsushima is simply that the character of the last century has a bad target, goes terribly off target. Visually this whole match is a mess in the open world and looks absolutely awkward and ugly. only when it looks good is when you come to a city and you can challenge someone to a duel And you cut the hand of the first ... Even if you update it you can cut several at once So in the framework of that QTE, the system of Combat looks great, you can show it in trailers But when it comes to the real gameplay, it's a total mess It bothers me all the time You're going into combat, the hero gets into position, so he starts moving slowly AND in the At the same time that the archer is shooting at you from the tower and you cannot get out of this position, so you had to update the deflection of the arrow. But most importantly: it feels very old. I can assume that when you update all postures and unlock all attacks, maybe the system will start working. But all the time I played, I was bored to death. in this game Especially when the mini bosses constantly approach you, that you and you have to stop and stun. It is absolutely uninteresting and is no match for Sekiro. Unfortunately, I had these parallels constantly while playing it. And you remember Sekiro and how fluid, cool, smart, and deep combat system he had. Here it feels like a past generation, damn it. Regarding the global game: it is a total disaster. It's an old-school Assassin's Creed, but the bad one. Everything you can imagine. I got into the fort, I slipped away by the guards, I fought with them. Incidentally, controlling the movement of characters inside buildings is horrible. And yes, the developers made a stealth kill through the door of a dojo. You can stab an enemy in the back. But there is no damn way you will lock him and hit him. In at least the AC forts were clearing quickly. It was easy to control the character, you knew how enemies behave, etc., etc. Here you are constantly breaking your fingers on the gamepad, trying to manage the controls. You still curse the stealthy stealth and also you have to go through the camp and collect some banners. Then you have to light the dust and cut some important Mongolian. Damn interesting. I don't know what they were thinking in 2020. I highly recommend people who didn't like Assassin's Creed Valhalla to play Ghost of Tsushima. Understand that Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a pretty good game. Other than that, everything is simple: they cleared the camp. , liberated the town, new villagers entered. On the map you have different story missions, side missions, question marks. Ride there on your horse. Wind is an analogue of medieval GPS, by the way, I think this is the only truly original idea in this game. You slide the touchpad of the PS4 and the wind shows you the way * Without mercy! * * Fire! For Tsushima! Attack! * So I couldn't force myself to play this game that I tried several days in a row. I can honestly be wrong. Maybe it's like a case with Days Gone. A game is like 7 - 7.5, but if you like the setting and the atmosphere, you can spend some time in it, I admit it. But now, after The Last of Us 2, in mid-summer ... It didn't happen to me that I only experienced negative Ghost of Tsushima emotions. And it happens to me very rarely. I always try to find something good in the game, I try to see something interesting and original. But in this case I did not succeed. For now I give it a 6. Maybe later I will be sad. I'll go play it and maybe I like it. We'll see it for now - screw on the video games. There is summer outside. The sun is shining. You should go to the beach. That is my recommendation.
