Starfield ● Todd Howard revealed new game details after E3.

Todd Howard spoke to reporters after E3. During the conversation, the well-known Elon Musk was also present. And accordingly, the topics of conversation for the most part concerned space and everything connected with it. Most of the questions were addressed to Elon Musk, since, in principle, at game conferences, a person is new, and those questions that could be asked to Todd Howard are already hackneyed and monotonous.

But still one question made us slightly open the veil of secrecy around Starfield, a space RPG that Bethesda has been developing for many years, but at the same time it keeps all the details in the strictest confidence. According to Todd Howard, while Starfield is just a game, it retains its authenticity.

The game feels realistic, all action is possible. The studio is looking at what fuel the ships use. Having said that, for example, we use Helium-3, which is still debatable in terms of efficiency for spacecraft. The company discusses how physics, gravity and the like work in space, and for them it is necessary to adapt elements for the gameplay so that flying in space is not as punishing as in reality.

But at the same time, they remain believable. Space travel, according to the game designer, is still as dangerous as air travel was in the 40s, and the danger of travel and exploration remains, even if many do. Howard also stressed that the game is set in the distant future.

And if anyone thinks that Starfield will be a technical space simulator like Kerbal, which is a great game, but not for everyone, then these thoughts can be safely dismissed, it is not. Todd Howard made it clear that Starfield is a single-player sci-fi RPG, not a hyper-realistic space simulator.

The game will include space flights, but they will be as simple and understandable as possible, without overloading players with complex systems, as in technical space simulators. These are the details about Starfield that have become known to us. There is still little information, but at least something.

Well, I would like to add a few words about the past E3, and specifically the presentation of Bethesda, which some have already buried. Indeed, few new games were presented, but all this is justified by only one simple factor, now there is a change of generation of consoles.

And we were shown only those projects that still affect the old generation. It becomes obvious that everything new, including Starfield and TES 6, is being made for the next generation consoles. If you look at the exhibitions of other studios, everything is exactly the same, 90 percent of them are some kind of niche indie projects, and a couple of three big games.

Sony refused to give a presentation at all. In general, it was really pointless to expect something more from this exhibition, although, of course, I wanted some kind of miracle, I myself hoped for it, but all the most delicious things have been laid up for the time when the new generation consoles are officially announced ..
