RG351P Review- RG351P First Look- is it worthwhile to buy?.

Finally, we got the brand new RG351P from Rock Chip's RK3326 now. It will be the first review about it. I'm so excited and can't wait to see it. So let's get it started and take a look at the fantastic RG351P! Hi, welcome back to Panda Mimi! We got the indigo, this a new color that Anbernic first time uses, it may remind you of the classic GBA color, it paints some gray around the edges of the shell, it's distinctive and old school.

You can see the brand logo on the bottom of the screen, the bezels around the screen never disappear. Build quality of Anbernic is trusted, but the panel feels a little bit grainy and rough than RG350P. Let's take a close look at the button layout. There are the Select and Start on the top, and we get a classic direction button, When I press it.

It offers a decent feedback. ABXY buttons are stretchy, with negligible gaps They won't be moved around easily, There is an indicator when the red light turns on, it means the device is in low power, green light means working. When charging, the yellow light on.

Two 3D analog sticks can be pressed down used as the L3/R3 button. With a reasonable position, I don't need to take much effort to click them. We get the power button on the left and the retro volume wheel is on the right side. With the 3.5-inch OCA IPS backlit screen, the device can avoid the issue that other open-source handhelds have, such as machine dead or screen flickering when the battery is low, Then we can see the shoulder buttons, dual OTG port can connect two external gamepads to play with two friends.

And this is the audio jack. I regret that they removed the HDMI port, there are some people like me care about that. On the bottom, there are the stereo speakers, and there is only one TF card slot, comes with a 64GB micro sd card. A reset button here.

Two rubber grips are on the back. Let's take a look at the unit. It just takes a while to boot the device and I can feel the vibration. It features the EE- emuelec system basically. Besides, what can you get from the unit? It has built-in WiFi netplay to support play games with your friends or families, just make sure the devices access the same network.

First, press the two analog sticks at the same time on the host device to enter the Netplay option And choose the hose to connect. the guest device chooses the Connect to netplay host option, type the IP address of the host device in. Now, the netplay is available.

With a 3500 mAh battery, RG351P has the most powerful battery capacity in the rk3326 game consoles. Speaking of the battery, there is a really nice thing is the manufacturer put a layer of thermally conductive silicone on the CPU, it also uses a heat dissipation shield, which can effectively solve the overheating.

I'm a big fan of the design. Okay, I'll put the basic specifications on the screen to let you know what to expect I'll start up a game in the PlayStation one, PSP, NDS, and DC to check the performance. Even if I'm not playing the device yet, I can still hear the poor crackling sound.

Can you hear it? It runs flawlessly in the basic emulations, But in some powerful emulation like the Playstation, it gets delay and stutter. It's exciting to see the vibration function in fighting games. In the PSP game, Death or life,Ridge racer, the stuttering is serious, and running speed really lets me down.

Except that, the d-pad and analog sticks are comfortable, but I feel nothing special there with other devices. RG351P may be the end of RK3326, it's competitive in all the open-source devices. It has a better build quality, it has WiFi and bigger battery capacity.
