Hardspace: Shipbreaker - Tips and Tricks Trailer.

Hello! I'm Trey. I want to share some tips on how best to play Hardspace: Shipbreaker, a sci-fi project about zero gravity spaceship recycling. But first, on behalf of the developers and our friends at Focus Home Interactive, I want to thank you carvers around the world for your support during Early Access on Steam. We are very interested in your opinion about the game, and we are discussing your ideas and suggestions with the developers. You've already helped improve the game, and this is just the beginning. So thank you! LYNX also thanks you for the "voluntary", unpaid reviews. So in this video there are ten important tips to help carvers earn credits and avoid industrial accidents.

1. Use an anchor An anchor is necessary to move heavy and dangerous objects in zero gravity. You can drag light objects towards you or pull yourself towards heavy objects. Be careful! If you pull too hard, something might go wrong! By the way, if you need to pull out fragile objects from a narrow space, you can rotate the object by rotating yourself.

2. Cut carefully Remember the proverb "Measure seven times ..."? Sometimes you will only have one try. Built into your cutter is a powerful saw-breaker, and its hot laser can burn through even thick bulkheads with ease. However, it can just as easily damage valuable components or accidentally ignite the contents of a fuel line. The saw allows you to cut vertically and horizontally, and for finer work you can always turn on the "Sting" attachment.

3. Use your hands In zero gravity, it is extremely important to move with the help of your hands. Grasp metal objects and walls with magnetic gloves. This will help you aim more accurately or avoid a sharp dash. It is easier with your hands to accurately rearrange something, switch and perform other subtle operations. And you can also hold on with your hands so that you are not sucked into the airlock.

4. Use Ropes Ropes are upgrades for anchors, they allow you to tie things together. The more cables there are, the stronger the jerk, so if you attach enough cables and pull in one direction, you can move almost anything. However, new ropes come at a cost, so use them carefully, especially early in the campaign.

5. Monitor pressure Some ships may retain pressurized compartments. If opened in an airless space, decompression will occur. The air will rush outward with great speed, carrying away all loose objects. This can often lead to an explosive chain reaction. Locate and turn off the atmospheric regulator to safely depressurize the room. If not, try to manually deflate from a safe distance. In some cases, the decompression effect can be helpful - get creative.

6. Remember about energy sources Ships of different classes get energy from batteries or generators. Consider this when dismantling, because without power, the ship's systems will begin to malfunction or completely shut down. Dismantle energy sources carefully. They, like reactors, become unstable when removed from the housing and can damage surrounding objects or burn electronics.

7. Be careful with fuel The fuel line can be cut safely if it is emptied first. The fuel can be drained by locating the appropriate valve, or a controlled explosion can be made to burn it out. Be careful when cutting something near a leaking fuel line. Dangerous gas collects near leaks and is highly flammable.

8. Cut with chilled. Refrigerant found in tanks and pipes can freeze walls and make objects brittle. Frozen surfaces are easy to punch through, so the coolant tank will come in handy to punch a hole without the risk of setting something on fire. Experienced carvers spray refrigerant to extinguish the fire.

9. Choose the Right Ship Ship classes vary in purpose, shape, size and configuration. If you need furniture for the next certification, a small transport ship will do: it is usually full of passenger seats. And to get more metal, dismantle a large industrial cargo truck.

10. Increase Certification Levels and Improve Tools By completing orders, you will increase your certification level. This will give you access to new types of ships, as well as new tools and improvements. Usually, to make more money, it is better to dismantle the entire ship, even if it takes several shifts. But sometimes it is enough to get just a couple of items to get a new certificate and access to the long-awaited improvements. You can always pick up everything you need from the ship and complete the shift ahead of schedule to get an improvement right away. Just keep in mind that LYNX does not approve of the waste of valuable resources and may cut your fees to prevent this in the future. Thanks for watching to the end.
