Cat Lady Board game - Review / Tutorial / How to play ( ENGLISH ).

Hello and welcome to our channel! This time we will be presenting "Cat Lady" an entertaining card game in which you should try to collect food, toys, catnip, costumes, and of course, adorable cats. It is a really easy game to learn, suitable for people over 14 and with an average length of 30 minutes.

Let's see what "Cat Lady" is about! We will start by looking at the components. Apart from the regular rulebook, we also find a cat token 6 victory point tokens, 60 food cubes . We also find 115 cards, 102 of which are "game cards" that include the following elements: cats, food, costumes, toys, catnip, lost cats and spray bottles.

The remaining 13 cards are stray cats. These cats always have a special ability in this area. We should shuffle the main deck and deal 9 cards in the center of the table to form a 3x3 grid. The rest of the "game cards" form the main deck. Then, suffer the 13 stray cat cards and deal 3 stray cats.

The rest of the cards are not used during the game, so set them aside. Place the cat token and all wooden food cubes off to the side. The player who has the most cats in real life becomes the starting player. The player sitting counterclockwise from the starting player takes the cat token and places it next to one of the rows or columns, blocking it.

We are ready to start playing! During their turn, players take an entire row or column of 3 cards from the grid. Cat cards are placed face up in front of the player when taken. Food cards are replaced with a cube and are immediately discarded. Move the cat token next to the row or column where the cards were taken and refill it with 3 cards from the main deck.

Now it's the turn of the following player. They will take another 3 cards from the grid. Costume, catnip and toy cards are kept in the players' hands until the end of the game. The second player moves the cat token and refills the column. This turn another player decides to take the following row.

Lost cat and spray bottle cards are kept in the players' hands until they choose to play them during one of their turns. A player can discard 2 lost cat cards from their hand to get 1 of the stray cats or gain 2 victory points. When taking a stray cat, they add it to their cat area.

They must not replace it by drawing another card.
Only 3 straight cats are available during the game. With the spray bottle, players can move the cat token. This allows them to block the next player from taking cards from a row or column or to help them reveal the blocked cards they want.

Players continue taking turns until an empty row or column needs to be refilled and there are no cards remaining in the deck. Players now add up all victory points as follows: All the cats need to be fed with the food symbols represented on the bottom of the card.

If they are fed, players gain victory points equal to the number on the left side of the card. If not, they lose 2 victory points regardless of the number of victory points on the card. The player with the most leftover food after feeding the cats must lose 2 victory points.

The player that has the most costumes gains 6 victory points. However, if a player doesn't have at least 1 costume, they lose 2 victory points. If a player has 1 catnip, they lose 2 victory points. If they have 2 or 3 catnip, they gain 1 victory point for each cat they have fully fed.

If they have 4 or more catnip, they gain 2 victory points for each of their fully fed cats. Players gain victory points based on the number of different toys they have. If they have 5 different toys, they will get 12 victory points. If they have 4, 8...

They may also score for multiple sets. Finally, players add up the value of all victory point tokens they have. The player with the highest total victory points wins the game. If two or more players are tied, the player who has the most fed cats becomes the winner.

If there is still a tie, play another "Cat Lady" game to determine the winner. In "Cat Lady", you will certainly have to think your next move if you want to strike a balance between the victory points you might win or lose by drawing a combination of three cards.

The design of the cats, food, costumes and their toys is really cute and we are sure everyone will love it. The game is really easy to learn. It won't take you more than 5 minutes to learn the rules. The theme of the game is integrated quite effectively.

The way you win or lose points according to how well you satisfy the cats' needs or the puns made with the names of the cats work really well. "Cow" is an extremely powerful stray cat that might round you crazy if it's owned by one of your opponents, but you will almost for sure sweep to victory if it's on your side.

The size of the box might be a problem if you decide to sleeve your cards since you may run out of the space. All in all, we do believe that you will enjoy this fast and entertaining card drafting and set collection game.
