Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition - New Gameplay Footage and Release Date.

Hello, my name is ColdBeer and yesterday in Gamescom a new trailer and release date of Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition was announced. Because the previous remaster of Age of Empires 2 was quite good, I’m quite excited about this one either. And as it was with the previous remaster here we will get not only the same game with sharper 4K graphics, but also enhanced audio, two new civilizations of Inca and the Swedes making a total of 16 playable civilizations.

Also we will be able to dive into Historical battles mode, where the fate of famous wars will be decided by your inability to efficiently control your units. I’m kidding, I’m sure that you will be a great commander. Or not. Also Art of war challenge missions await you, where you will be tasked with doing various difficult and not so difficult missions.

I remind you that all of this is a new material that wasn’t present in an original game. By the way, all previous expansions, dlc’s, anything that was released before is included in Definitive Edition. And last feature is the Cross platform multiplayer, where you will be able to control your army with an Xbox controller and pathetically lose to anyone wielding a mouse.

Yeah, if you are planning to play multiplayer with a gamepad, dude... just don’t. Also, spectator mode will be included, so you can just watch how others play in real time in real game. Also mod support will be implemented, so the game has the possibility to stay in our sights for a bit longer period of time.

And talking about those 4K graphics I have only one thing to say - Age of Empires 4 will have to do a tremendous job after this one. Look, this is Age of Empires 4 footage. And this is Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition. Let’s be honest - it looks quite similar.
