Well then you’re gonna want try out Kill It With Fire! Dive into the role of a world-class exterminator as you get tasked with the job of eliminating as many spiders as you can find throughout nine levels within this small town.
Start out venturing through a home as you smash those nasty arachnids with your only tool, the clipboard of your objectives! Send enough of these eight legged freaks to hell and you’ll start unlocking doors using their corpses as the key! Then you’ll be able to access notorious spider-murder weapons like the classic revolver! Practice your precision aim to take out those crawlers from a distance, even though unlike normal spiders, these guys can’t hurt you at all! In fact, nothing can! Now you can fight against your arachnophobia right alongside your fear of exploding barrels! Make your way through levels unlocking new weapons and tools like a spider tracking radar that can be upgraded to better identify their hiding spaces as well as help you find secrets! Secrets like upgrades you can use to give your character the ability to carry more weapons or move faster than a leisurely stroll while hunting down those pests! You never know where those creepy arthropods can be hiding.
Careful what you pick up because there might be one clinging to the back! Then you can scream and throw it across the room as you unload your massive arsenal on it like the psychopath you’ve always wanted to be! Take them down with pistols, shotguns, plastic explosives, frying pans, shurikens, rocket launchers, and of course, as the name implies, plenty of fire! You can even use balloons for some reason! Don’t worry about collateral damage though, your job is only to kill the spiders by any means necessary.
What’s a little fire damage when you risk a deadly monster jumping at your face!? While not every spider jumps, some will still create interesting challenges like blinding you with spider webs or exploding into several baby spiders that want to get all up in your crevices! Once you mark off all of the exterminator checkboxes on your list, you’ll get access to the arachno-gauntlet challenges! Check out these boomboxes that will have you doing things like using specific weapons to take out a set number of spiders killing as many as you can in within a time limit.
Some of these might not seem too fair, but if you take some drugs, I mean drink this “special energy drink” you can slow down time and have a much higher chance of success! These aren’t required to finish the game, but they will give you access to the greatest prize in gaming – a secret ending! Kill It With Fire, either the best or absolute worst way to cure arachnophobia while also practicing precision mouse aim.
