In the latest Cyberpunk 2077 News, CDPR would reveal new merchandise, that provides clues to a new character. Their name is Oda, and they appear to be the bodyguard for Michiko Arasaka. He is a martial arts specialist and Arasaka Ninja, who was trained by Takemura.
Given how deliberate CDPR usually are in revealing new information, it seems odd that they chose this method to disclose intel on Oda. “Here comes a new challenger” A new Nomad waifu, I mean character was revealed, Alanah the Nomad. You might recognize Alanah, as a former IGN reporter, and producer at Rooster Teeth.
Alanah disclosed that her character will appear during the Nomad lifepath, and will have an associated quest. For more details, you can find a dedicated video on Alanah’s channel. Head of Animation, Sebastian Kalemba, who coincidently lends his appearance to Dr Victor Vector in the game, designed Alanah’s cyberware.
Some new artwork of Lizzy Wizzy was revealed in an issue of Cybr Magazine along side a new image of Mox territory with the title a Sunny Lazy day. Dark Horse Comics are now releasing a Limited Edition Militech Hardcover version of the World of Cyberpunk 2077.
An official Cyberpunk 2077 calendar was revealed, with some art variations of what has been shown previously. The calendar is available from Danilo in the UK. It’s a testament to the hype surrounding Cyberpunk 2077, that when their Q&A lead, shared an image of himself achieving a platinum trophy, the news seemed to spread like wildfire.
As far as I am aware, you earn a Platinum trophy, when you have collected all the Bronze, Silver, Gold trophies in the game, so the image gives some indication of the number of challenges one might expect on the PlayStation platform. In previous news videos, I have referred to premium quality statues becoming available, and finally we have ¼ scale statue of Johnny Silverhand by pure arts.
The deluxe edition costs $899, which is within expectations. While the statue is quality, for this price there are two factors you should consider, prior to purchasing. First, the edition size, both the regular and deluxe editions have an availability of 2077 pieces each, or 4154 combined.
That will most likely negatively impact upon the statues value as a collector’s piece on the secondary market. Further down the line if you wish to sell the statue or update your collection, it’s unlikely to hold its value due to supply and demand. Secondly, the product has a dual speaker system, lighted display base, and plays soundtracks from the game! Sounds fantastic! But this means the batteries will need replacing and it will potentially be prone to battery corrosion if you are viewing this as a long-term investment.
