Review of The Last of Us Part 2 - There are problems, but the game is good.

Hi ... What is it with me? Yes, I did manage to get hold of the special edition. Right the next day after unpacking. But she held on and did not open it until the review. In short, it's cool, but we now have an overview, not an unpacking. So let's get started, because there is something to tell.

Honestly, I have some mixed emotions from the game. On the one hand, she's cool, on the other hand, I didn't get exactly what I wanted. And I don’t want to spoil it, but somewhere in the middle of the game, it is very similar to the first part. Naturally, everything is a little different, but similar.

And then Druckman decided to do one thing that lasted another half of the game, which I did not like. He destroyed what was in the first part and made you look at this whole world from the other side. He made history too drab. No, I'm not talking about the fact that she is completely uninteresting.

He broke the line between black and white, between good and evil, he did not even leave different shades of gray. Complex explanation, if a little simpler, then he made the bad guys not so bad, he gave them his enemies. And he made me worry even for these enemies of my enemies.

Damn, I wanted a game in the style of the first part, where we travel a lot, we have definitely bad people and good people who, although they wanted to make a vaccine at the cost of Ellie's life, we all understood what is needed. In short, in terms of the plot, I did not like the fact that I was forced to empathize with the murderer of someone dear to me.

It spoiled the experience of the game. Yes, this is the most unexpected turn in the game and I couldn't even imagine this, but I had to accept it. By the end, I had even come to terms with it and even started to forget about Ellie, and about the fact that the game tells her story in the first place.

I completely immersed myself in the gameplay, which by the way, by the end of the game, became some kind of spinal cord. I did everything automatically. She ran forward, collected everything in her path, crafted supplies, cartridges, bombs. And it was not necessary.

I worked out a crafting scheme in which I always had enough first-aid kits and cartridges. After the battle, I always ransacked the area and crafted everything that was available in order: first-aid kits, Molotov cocktails, arrows and sharpeners, bombs and everything else.

In short, in terms of gameplay, the second part of Last of Ace repeats the first part to almost everyone. Someone there is talking about awesome artificial intelligence from enemies. Well, I wouldn't say that. They can stupidly run into the car behind which you are sitting to look, look down and leave with the words `` There is no one here.

'' And everyone, everyone begins to follow their routes further. A little hacky, given that the locations are always closed and the enemy must understand that I am somewhere nearby. Once you are discovered, no one should stop looking. I would not find fault at this point, if the developers and a bunch of journalists did not praise this system so much.

Seriously, if they did not make such an emphasis on the fact that we are not like everyone else and do everything as it would be in real life, I would not say anything. Because this is normal practice for the game, the player needs to be given a break.

And to say that everything is like in life and to make a game in which all the enemies immediately forget about you and the killed allies is somehow silly. And I want to very much scold the person who decided to add killing dogs to the game. I could not get used to this even by the end of the game.

Why the hell was I doing it. Well, what I want to say thank you for is playing the guitar. I really liked it, and the first time, the second and the last time, I played the guitar with admiration. I want a guitar simulator from NotiDog. This is the same as it was in the theater, where it was possible both to change the mode and to sort out chords.

Just add more songs so you can choose what to play. In general, the game has a lot of interesting things and it certainly did not deserve the assessment that evil assholes who did not even play the game gave it. And yes, there is a mention of LGBT and feminism in the game.

And then some of these references you may not see passing along another street or not looking into another house. So, there is nothing to fear Well, it is obvious that the game has simply amazing graphics. really, squeezed out all the juices from the fourth curling iron.

My game was running in 4k resolution, it seems to me, because the 4K TV and screenshots were also taken in 4k. This means I had improved textures and anti-aliasing. I wonder how the game looked on a FullHD monitor. Definitely not worse. In fact, I didn't pay attention to the graphics first.

When I played Joel in the autumn forest or Ellie in the winter, I didn't pay much attention. Yes, it is beautiful, but the ice is cracking, traces remain in the snow. But as soon as I got to Seattle - oggooo, every blade of grass, every bush reacts to touch, it was cool ...

In short, that's all! .. I won't be able to tell you any more, otherwise I can spoil the plot. You don't want that, do you? )) But what I can say for sure is that it’s a good game. Not exactly the game I was waiting for, but I do not regret at all that I wasted time on it.

And I think you might like it too. Anyone who likes the first part should go through the second. Because here the original story ends and all the i's are dotted, and the most interesting thing is that I saw the groundwork for the future. Maybe it will be a spin-off, maybe a direct continuation, but it can definitely be done.
