Photography and Board Gaming PATREON LAUNCH TRAILER! AND Sneak Peek of the FIRST T SHIRT!.

- Hi, it is a big day today and I'm just so, so excited to see you. Just being here, you're already supporting my work. Today I'm taking a big step forward with my YouTube channel by launching Patreon. So I first want to start off by explaining who I am for all those that are new to the channel and then then I go into why Patreon.

And then lastly, finish off by explaining what you can expect if you were to sign on by explaining each and every single tier. So everyone new to the channel, hi, my name is Tim Chuon. I would identify first as the photographer, following that a videographer.

Both of which were hobbies turned not so hobbies now. And I take pictures of everything, landscapes, portraits, families, and one particular subject I really love, is board games. And I love making cinematic sequences about them. Most importantly, though, everything that I learned goes right back to you.

And that is the core of my channel, which is we grow together. So with every single video that I make, I always try to implement some new technique, some new camera equipment, some new lighting, some new angles, because I'm always trying to make some sort of progress because when I learn it and progress with it, I teach it right back to you.

Now, here are the types of videos that I make. Tutorials, reviews, cinematic showcases, some playthroughs, and I'll also throw in some blogs here and there. In the future I also plan to upgrade these blogs to make them cinematic blogs. In terms of subject photography and videography techniques and gear makeup, The bulk of my channel.

Followed by of course board games and then podcast discussions, which are pretty recent. The bottom line, if you like photography, videography, board games, tech, then I think you might be interested in my channel. Now the next step why Patreon? Well, first off, let me be clear and tell you now that everything that you see in this channel will remain free you and will continue to be free.

But there are three main reasons why I decided to shift towards Patreon. Number one, I love creating. I love being able to do this all the time. I'm extremely passionate about painting because it's just so fun for me. And I want to be able to share that with a very tiny community.

Having a Patreon will allow me to dedicate more time to answer the questions, be able to teach you more, be able to help you with anything that you need regarding photography, board games, videography, whatever it is. And I would love to build a tiny community that shares that passion as well.

So if you have any specific questions about certain pieces of gear, or if you want to learn some more photo techniques, or if you want me to review your work, Patreon allows me to dedicate more time to do that. Secondly, even if every video that I make is free, it actually costs a good amount to make them.

These external hard drives go for about a hundred bucks each. And I go through them with 4K footage about once a month. Hosting free animated presets for everyone on Cellophy is a monthly fee. Having access to Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere and the whole Adobe suite is its own subscription.

Memory cards failing, battery's not working, booking location sites, captioning videos. Those are just maintenance alone. But I only, I say that to be transparent because I am beyond fortunate and grateful and very thankful to have your support and just have this opportunity to be creating as I do now.

And the final reason why I am moving towards Patreon is because I want to be able to upgrade certain pieces of equipment that would make my life easier. I do pretty much everything by myself and I am looking at different pieces of equipment that will really speed up my process like a second boom arm to hold the overhead camera.

So I don't have to keep switching between each CSUN. Another battery for my 1DX instead of waiting an hour or two to charge it each time I film. A designated studio microphone so I don't have to keep switching between the Rode video mic pro plus and between my podcast setup and my studio setup and my running gun setup.

Those are just a few examples. So I do plan on introducing very very slowly PC building videos and any kind of PC related stuff later on. So am dedicating more time for you, building a more tight knit community, upgrading different pieces of equipment, experimenting with new types of videos.

Patreon helps me address all of that. And that's why moving toward Patreon. Now that leads us to the final and most exciting topic for the day and that is what am I offering on Patreon. A fun story. Let me tell you that. And if we ever reach, if we ever reached 100K subs, which is a lifetime goal for this channel, then I will make a full on dedicated short film explaining the reason why my slogan is, "Walk the Wolves." But briefly to explain to walk the wolves, it means to understand our weaknesses.

It means to learn from our mistakes. It is to utilize what we think is holding us back to push us forward. And since my channel is all about all of us going together, well wolves travel in a pack don't they? Tier one, is the wolves tier. This is the most accessible tier at $1 a month.

Even if I'm starting at Patreon, I know there are a ton of other amazing creators out there that you are supporting now and could potentially support later on. So that's why I made a $1 tier just to hopefully help you not have to choose between creators.

And with you gain access to a exclusive behind the scenes Instagram. The Instagram you see now it's has my most posh work. And I usually don't post too much behind the scenes content there, but with more and more people asking like how I did certain techniques and how it took certain photos, I can post more and more behind scenes content of full breakdowns of my shoots.

And if you have any questions, this is an easier, more casual way of me demonstrating answers to your questions. Secondly, you also get an instant download, of this really cool photography infographic that I made alongside another graphic designer. It's super cool because let's say you're out in the field and you run into a photography problem.

Boom, here you go. A bunch of answers to very common problems that I run into myself. And fourthly a very very big thank you. Even if you decide not to sign up for Patreon now and maybe it's something that you want to consider down the line, just being here, watching the video, subscribing, liking, commenting, sharing this video and all of that goes a very long way.

So thank you. Tier two is the Pyrowolf tier. The English undergrad in me decided to write a couple of little short snippets between each tier describing how the wolf is evolving from tier to tier. So if that's something you're interested in, it's there in tier two for $5 a month, you get everything in the wolf tier plus photo contest and voting power.

And you read that correctly, monthly photo contest. The last photo contest was a huge hit and I did not anticipate or expect that many people to participate and have that much fun. So now we're gonna do monthly photo contest and you get to vote for the theme that's gonna go on the public Instagram.

Tier three is the Terrawolf tier. So you'll get everything offered in my previous package. Plus I am working on the very first, photography preset package that is offered on my channel and maybe the first ever photography preset package offered in the board gaming space.

You will get twenty five percent off of that, plus first access to those presets. So I'm super super excited to show you that and to offer that as well. You'll get early access to those preset packages before they offered anywhere else. And you'll also get first access to the cinematic showcases before they are released as well.

Tier four is the Aerowolf tier offered at $20 a month. So here we get access and also discount on merchandise. You heard that right. For the very first time in this channel, merchandise. And a few of you actually were asking about a little sneak peek on the Chase collection.

The Chase collection is a set of t-shirts that I've designed. There are three of them. And here is a preview to my favorite one, my most favoritest one, Golden Hour. Who is ready to go outside with a camera take some photos now. So the Aeros will get first access, and a discount to this t-shirt line that I'm releasing.

You also get voting power for the biggest video releases, which are the cinematic showcases. And once a month, you also get to vote on the board game that will be in the cinematic showcase as well. On top of that, in that same video, I'm also going to make a special segment where I give a special thank you to you as well.

And lastly, the final tier, is the HydroWolf tier offered at $50 a month. So on top of everything else that I've already mentioned, I also animate in your name at the end of every single YouTube video that I make as well. So those are all the tiers that I'm offering across Patreon.

And as always, I'm open to your suggestions, your feedback, if there's anything that you want in a specific tier, please let me know and we can work something out. With all that said, I wanna make it clear that I don't plan on using Patreon forever because I am hoping my channel reaches a point where it is self-sustainable.

Now that means that this journey that we're gonna go on together may or may not be long. It may be super short. I have no idea what to expect. Now regardless of the length of time, if you've seen the amount of effort I put into my videos and photos, you know that I'm gonna devote the same, if not more to Patreon as well.

You're gonna get my entire effort all in Patreon while it lasts. I hope you at least check out the Patreon page, I worked really hard in designing everything from piece to piece. I really wanna get to know you more, teach you as much as I can, answer all of your questions.

And honestly just have a lot of fun because I think we're gonna build an amazing community. I think it's gonna be a really great thing for the channel. And I really wanna push the growth of this channel overall this year. The first goal that I set is kind of high, it's at fourteen Patreons.

And with that, I will be able to offset some of the costs for maintenance, at least for the animated presets that I have on Cellophy. And that's it. We'll see how it goes. So I'm super excited. I'm very nervous. And overall, I am just beyond grateful and thankful that you are here watching this video.
