Swordbreaker:The Game Review on Xbox - It's a page turner...

Hello ladies and gentlemen my name is RemovableSanity and today I am reviewing the Sword Breaker game which has been developed by DuCats game studios and published by sometimes you. So what is Sword Breaker? Sword Breaker game is a modern take on choose your own path or genre that is often found in books, but is now in game format.

The premise is that you are an adventurer who after witnessing a fight at the local tavern. take possession of a map that indicates that there is wealth beyond your imagination to be found in a nearby castle, so in true adventure style jog to tackle whatever comes your way, the game features more out of 333 hand drawn story tiles with three different endings a morality system and of course a story based on your own choices and this allows me to get into the game now I am a huge fan of choose your own path books and I won't tell you how many Steve Jackson and Ian Livingston novels I have.So watching a game that attempts to replicate that experience not only intrigued me, but also made me hope it was done right, as this is a game genre that still it is in its infancy.

You start outside the castle and from the beginning. you are given your first choice to enter through the window or the front door as anyone chooses their own adventure you read the text that describes their situation and make decisions from a list on how to proceed anyone who has had any experience with these types of books knows that your choices will often lead you headlong to the quickest and most gruesome death, even for the simplest options, like admiring armor, but using a saying.

The developers have thought about this and given it a map that allows you to see the areas it has been to.However, you can only see this from the home screen, they won't make it too easy for you. The level design is very well done and with the map it also means that the frustration of finding that alternate path that you may have missed.

The control system is also simple and effective, but sometimes I found that I was pressing the wrong button when returning from the main menu as said above, the game has a little morality system where you can be a hero, an assassin or a coward, this shows up once.

You have gone far enough in the castle where I will ask you to pass through a portal that reacts based on your choices, another nice advantage is that depending on your choices it is very easy to complete. I got the good ending in about 20 minutes. playing and then proceed to start over to explore the rest of the castle and the available options, it really won't take you long to get all the achievements.

I did it in about six hours as I got a bit stuck in a partition. A great choice, so for those who are parents or want something to place over lunch this is ideal and now in the graphics the art style of the game is mostly comic as panels with written text to describe the events they have Each of these panels is very detailed and really a showcase of the images to tell a story However, the best are by far the gruesome arc of death to look at yours or your enemies and with around 125 panels to collect, you'll find yourself choosing the wrong answers as well as the correct ones to see them all Another nicer touch is that there are a lot of visual notes from other well-known franchises like Freddy Krueger and Square Bob Sponge Pants.

Dollars depending on your skill and patience, this would give you around six and a half hours of playtime to potentially erase the entire story get all the final achievements and art picking your own adventure games are rare on console and personally I would like to see more of these added maybe with some new items added just to really get this genre going, give it a try, although you might even find yourself trying out the literature versions afterwards too, ladies and gentlemen, that's it, hope you like this review and if you like, please share and subscribe if you want and if you want to put some notes or even just a comment in the comment section, I like to read them anyway, have fun playing and will see you again soon.
