Close your eyes, my dear friend ... Do you hear the whisper that comes from the abyss? Othercide is a tactical RPG with horror elements, with a deep, thoughtful story and a world that the player can explore at their own pace. The game is played for the characters we named Daughters.

Daughters are different sides of one warrior who has lived for hundreds or thousands of years, protecting humanity. Break the gaping mouth of reality, my dear friend. She protects humanity from these creatures who live in a parallel universe and feed on human emotions, feelings, thoughts.

Usually in Othercide, the characters only have some kind of title: Mother, Daughter, Child ... We did this because we wanted to create a kind of mythology, a modern legend that will not obsessively guide the player, but will allow him to learn about everything on his own.

The city is in agony. If you are an independent developer, in some way you need innovations, fresh ideas. That is, you need to do something unique, something of your own. Take design development, for example. We needed a recognizable, memorable style; we wanted to make every detail, even the smallest, memorable and associated only with Othercide.

In developing the Othercide design, we relied on several key elements. We chose black, red and white for a reason, we wanted to emphasize that the action takes place on the wrong side of reality. Daughters are the last bright spot, the only creatures that can bring color into this world.

They represent hope, the only thing left in this sea of ​​darkness and despair. When they die, their scarves turn gray. They disappear because they can no longer remain in this world. I think it's a mixture of European and Japanese pop culture, and especially games like Nier: Automata and the Silent Hill series have had a lot of influence.

There are a lot of people around who have experienced the same as we have. I let you down ... I didn't keep my promise. All that is left of me, I give you. Take it, the child is a deeply traumatized child, and you will learn more about his terrible life in the game itself.

His image was created based on my own experience. I suffered from a very rare disease, and I was sick for a very, very long time. I was practically paralyzed. Imagine that you are only 18 and you should be in your prime, you should be full of energy, but in fact these are not the years that you will remember with nostalgia.

I was saved at that time by creativity, I believe, because during my illness, I could sit down and paint on an easel. I wanted to express everything that I have accumulated, my pain and illness through this character, through the Child. My voice destroyed the City ...

But this is not enough. For me, a person who has been involved in this project for four years now, it is amazing to see the way we have come. From an idea in its infancy to images, to something tangible that you can already play. It motivates me to see a spark in the eyes of people, to see that they are burning with some idea ..
