The Best Substitute You'll Get For A GTA 5 Single-Player DLC.

Have you run through every little piece of Rockstar-developed content in Grand Theft Auto 5? Do you wish the game had more to offer in the way of single-player missions? Then feast your eyes on this new mod pack from modder alebal3. It doesn't just add one mission, or two missions, or even a dozen missions to GTA 5: it adds 70.

By all indications, this enormous mod brings everyone from the Grand Theft Auto 5 story back for some more fun. And there are sure to be some shenanigans afoot for all involved, with mission names like "Jimmy stole a car," "Save the whales," and "Plane for Lester." The trailer for the mod pack shows players engaging in activities like paragliding, flying planes, driving tanks, and zipping around in jetpacks, just to name a few.

And that's along with all of the shooting and stealing, of course, because this is still Grand Theft Auto 5, regardless of whether Rockstar is building the missions or a fan is taking the reins, instead. But perhaps the best part about the mod pack is that it manages to add 70 new missions to GTA 5 without taking up a whole lot of space.

The Mission Maker mod required for the pack comes in at less than one megabyte, and the mod pack itself is just a little more than four megabytes in size. The mod is likely this lightweight because it's reusing assets from the game instead of introducing new ones, but if that's not a big deal to you and you just want some new missions to play in Grand Theft Auto 5, you should be able to download, install, and start playing with the mod pack fairly quickly.

One piece of advice for players looking to play every mission in the mod pack: there is one other mod you may need to install if you have issues with mission items or vehicles moving from their intended locations. The mod is called "Open All Interiors," so bookmark that mod and consider installing it if you run into problems.

Of course, those on PC who need their Rockstar Games fix don't necessarily have to look to independent modders. We got word last week that Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally coming to PC, which means a whole new Rockstar Games story is on the way for PC gamers who never experienced the 2018 hit on console.

The operatic Western game will launch into a number of different PC marketplaces, including the Rockstar Games Launcher and the Epic Games Store on November 5th, 2019. And PC players can expect Red Dead 2 to sell on Steam, as well, though the game won't make it to that storefront until sometime in December.

But there's something else worth considering about the launch of Red Dead 2 on PC that we haven't heard talked about all that much, and for those who've been long extending the life of Grand Theft Auto 5 via outside channels, it'll be a no-brainer topic to highlight: mods.

When Red Dead 2 makes its way to PC next month, we'll start to see mods come to the game in a sanctioned way for the very first time. We've had mods in the console versions of Red Dead 2, of course, but they've likely been breaking either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One terms of service.

The mods for Red Dead 2 on PC will - as far as we're aware - be safe to use, which means we could see a lot of inventive new spins on the game and its characters. "I'm waiting for someone interesting to turn up." Not only that, we could start to see some new single-player story missions for Red Dead 2, which fans of the game's campaign have been begging for since it arrived in October of last year.

Until then, though, you can pass your time by playing these 70 new story missions for Grand Theft Auto 5, as well as the host of other GTA 5 mods available. It's easy enough to make you forget the game came out way back in 2013. Check out one of our newest videos right here! Plus, even more SVG videos about your favorite games are coming soon.
