GLOOMHAVEN | GUILDMASTER MODE OVERVIEW TRAILER

Greetings fellow mercenaries! Since the launch of the early access last year, we’ve been listening closely to your feedback to make the best possible digital adaptation of Gloomhaven. This is why we have been working for the past few months on our biggest update so far, focusing on both improving the in-game experience and bringing more of the massive boardgame’s content, eventually leading up to the full launch, in the most gripping and enjoyable way! But before diving into this update, we want to thank all the members of our community for their amazing involvement and support, with a special thanks to our closed and open beta players! Introducing Gloomhaven Guildmaster: a new game mode coming in June.

The core of Gloomhaven’s gameplay is its cast of unique, distinct mercenaries. It would have been a shame to limit its access to only end-game players with multiple saves. In the reworked adventure, as a Guildmaster, you will be able to freely manage your roster, switching between characters and parties of 2 to 4 mercenaries.

All your hard-earned gold and items will be gathered in your company’s stronghold, you’ll be able to divide loot as you see fit between your characters. We want to give you options to manage your guild as you wish and let you experiment with new tactics and new team synergies.

As always, the difficulty of the encounters will be adapted to your roster level, the stronger and the more plentiful your company is, the deadlier the enemies will be. Part of the thrill of the adventure is the discovery of new places. In this redesign we kept the map, its cities and secret hideouts for you to explore.

However now, your guild will be able to pursue its own path, liberating areas of the map through unique journey missions, setting your own goals as you progress in your adventure. Roaming through the world of Gloomhaven, your guild will be confronted with new missions.

Some will allow you to uncover your mercenaries’ stories and motivations. Others will allow you to unlock powerful artefacts… We wanted to make this new content captivating for the fans of the board game and neophytes alike, with original storylines and missions faithful to the Gloomhaven lore we all cherish.

After listening to your reviews, we understood that the gap between the tutorial and our adventure mode was too large. We reworked the tutorial and created a more inventive and well-paced introduction so that newcomers and Gloomhaven experts alike will be able to discover and rediscover the core and advanced gameplay mechanics of Gloomhaven.

All these changes and improvements are set to achieve one objective: deliver the greatest Gloomhaven digital adaptation with all its content and campaign. This redesign is the best way for us to enrich your Gloomhaven experience during the early access.

Please do note that the Guildmaster mode will replace the current adventure mode. These are just a few of the many improvements and changes you can expect and we will deliver more content very soon. In june, along with the Gloomhaven Guildmaster, the online co-op mode will launch in Beta and will allow you to play from two to four players.

Additionally, we will be releasing the ‘Cave’ environments and five new monsters to challenge your guild. In Q3, we will fully launch the multiplayer co-op. Since good things come in pairs, at the same time we will release a massive content update based on the busy cities and dangerous back alleys of the world of Gloomhaven adding new missions, enemies and a mercenary.

Following these two huge updates, we will focus on delivering regular content by releasing new mercenaries and their unique storylines. We can’t wait for all of you to experience these changes and see what deadly roster combinations you come up with as a skilled Guildmaster in June.
