Review Preview Buy the Vote! | How to Play | Kickstarter.

Hi everyone, this is Aspie Gamer Girl. And today we're gonna play and review Buy the Vote! If you like this video give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for similar content Buy the Vote! is a bidding game for two to five players in which each player is a presidential candidate at the end of the game if the Presidential Nominee and the Running Mate have 270 votes or more they win the campaign In the middle of the table place the state levels for one to nine and put the bank next to it Each player gets an individual mat and a voting booth.

Set-up a timer for 15 minutes Start the timer and perform the following actions collect funds draw state cards use a voting booth remove the voting booth Score electoral votes the player mat shows a money symbol on round 1, 4 and 7 The player collects funds only in those rounds the amount shown on the board Starting with three cards each round the players add an extra card to the total amount of cards to be drawn If there are state cards on the table place a new one on top of it Each player uses the voting booth to cover the bids from the other candidates You can decide which states to bid on or not to bid at all place your hand on the table to let other players know You are done betting when all candidates are ready the bids are revealed and the player that spend the most amount of money on a state wins it If there is a tie no one gets a state.

All the money used during the bettings goes back to the bank. Tuck the won states under the mat The vote bar helps to estimate the number of votes repeat these actions until the time is up or the state cards deck runs out Swing States when winning a swing a state card the player gets to steal the last card won by any other player this effect has to be performed immediately The player who collects the most electoral votes becomes the Presidential Nominee And the second player with the most votes becomes their Running Mate at the end of the game if the Nominee and Running Mate have 270 votes or more they win the game This is how you play the game Before I start with the review, I just want you to keep in mind that this was just a prototype And you can see on Kickstarter how actually the pieces are gonna look my initial thoughts about the game Is that the theme is really well structured.

They were able to take the US elections and put them how it actually works This is one of the things that I really like about the game is how they were able to take this theme, that somehow seems simple but truly follow it into a game and the game is not only easy to teach or easy to play but it also can become Educational which I think is really nice.

If you are not familiar with US elections It's a really easy way to understand how it works also, this could be like a way that kids are being told in a fun way of how democracy works in the US So I found that really exciting how they match the theme, how they follow it truly to the reality And how they were able to end up with this really dynamic game That only last 15 minutes something that I didn't mention on the rules is that the game gives you 3 variants so there is a variant for a two-player game, that you are not a Winning together with a running mate.

You are by yourself And then we have a variant with no time at all You can take as long as you want But I think that something really exciting of the game is only having 15 minutes Because then you don't have time to think about it like oh this is going to be my whole strategy And you just have to figure it out like right away being really fast to make your decisions Which I think is something really positive.
