Yeah, because the game was garbage. Although now, we have a reason to reconsider this decision, because this Warcraft 2 Remaster looks dope. It is not just a simple transfer of a familiar story to the new installment's engine. The team working on the project wants to expand the game's storyline with the events of Warcraft III and World of Warcraft, they also also use World of Warcraft: Chronicle - a series of books devoted to the history of Azeroth, so a really rich deep story awaits us here.

And that story will be linear, unlike in the original game. So, it is more a remaster with a remake vibes on it. I like that very much. The team recreates unique units of every faction from scratch, they are not just using existing Warcraft 3 units with minor changes, no, everything is done with love and even the smallest details are implemented in their designs.

That also goes with buildings and ships. Yes, remember the times when we could build an armada of submarines and sink unsuspecting enemy - that time is back baby. My memories of skipping school so I could fight orcs are still one of the best I have. Although another year I had to go to the same class again, but I have no regrets.

And that’s not it - they also hire actors to do voice overs, so this will be a fully voiced campaign with professional take on it.
