June 2020 A month where you feel lost under a pile of new game trailers which keep releasing every hour. You keep looking at your wallet hoping that if you stare at it long enough, it might just start creating money so that you can buy every upcoming game that you like. New Assassin's Creed in Norse mythology! Cyberpunk delayed again! What the Fu...

GTA 5 - No, not you There's a new Spider-Man game? Wha-? ..And then the biggest news of them all – The PS5!!! The PS5's SSD is so fast...and it has the best games with the best graphics... Horizon Zero Dawn 2! Halo Infinite! OH MY GOD ! Hang On! Let's do this one more time... If you are a teenager who has to go to your parents for money, we understand that it’s hard to justify buying a game which is worth 4000 Rs. Even salaried guys are constantly worried about their EMIs, … On the other hand if you’re like Ambani and you buy every game anyway Then a) We hate you and b) Why are you even watching this - Go and have your espresso OR go to Europe on your private jet – Oh wait, you can't No matter who you are or where you come from, you or your ATM must always be comparing the price of a game to other things that can be bought for the same price. For example...10 pizza or burgers/15 starbucks/20 bottles of your favorite beer OR even something "unnecessary" like diapers for your kid or medicines for your family We understand your situation and in this video, we’re going to help you narrow down from a host of games to the ones that you really need. We’re going to do this by assigning a category to each upcoming game – Buy, Borrow, or Wait. These are pretty self-explanatory but here’s a quick rundown. Category Buy means – Go ahead and buy the game ; Category Borrow means – Don’t waste your own money, get it from a friend after he finishes it ; and Category Wait means – Wait for the reviews or a sale before you go and get it. Sounds good? Then let’s begin... This is GamePod's Buy, Borrow or Wait Edition Number 8) Cyberpunk 2077 A) It is created by CD Projekt Red – who won multiple awards for their last game The Witcher 3 including Game of the Year in 2015. B) It has that guy from John Wick in it! If these two reasons are not enough for you to be thrilled about this game coming out, then the game’s setting, which is very much like Blade Runner, should surely do it. It is set against the backdrop of a futuristic megacity where people have cybernetic modification technology available to them. Also, because of the constant threat of physical harm, all citizens are allowed to own and openly carry firearms in public which is justified because Baba Yagga is on the loose! If you are interested in RPG type of games and you like this setting then: < Buy > Number 7) Marvel’s Avengers If you are a Marvel fan , this one’s a no-brainer. Also, we’re 3000% sure that Iron Man is alive in this game’s universe! It has some of the best voice actors in the gaming industry including Troy Baker as Bruce Banner, Laura Bailey as Black Widow and Nolan North as Tony Stark / Iron Man. But, is it worth the full price? Uhhhhh, we don't think so. Let me elaborate. Granted it might end up being a good game after all but we would advise you to wait either for the review or for the price to drop because based on the information that we have right now – the game not being an open world like Marvel’s Spider-Man, unconfirmed campaign length, unreviewed game mechanics, etc. do not really justify buying this one at 4000 bucks at launch. Atleast for the ones looking after their budget. So GamePod's verdict is Number 6) Watch Dogs: Legion The selling point of this game is that you can play as any character you want – So you can live out your dream either being a 14 year old teenager or a 70 year old woman. But based on the previous iterations of Watch Dogs people still feel cheated by the fact that the studio downgraded the graphics upon release as compared to their E3 reveal trailers. We are going to have to wait and watch if this sequel defies all expectations and garners more fans in the process or loose the existing ones because of the fan’s perception that their marketing strategies are deceptive. GamePod's verdict on this one < Borrow > Number 5) Ghost Of Tsushima This is a Playstation exclusive which is set in the late 13th Century Japan. The game revolves around one of the island's last samurai, Jin Sakai, during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. During the course of the game, the protagonist realizes that the way he was taught to fight is useless against such a powerful enemy and their new military tactics. So ultimately, he must learn the way of the ‘Ghost’ - an unconventional fighting style that emphasizes small-scale attacks, creating fear in the minds of the enemy, and using their own weapons against them. This is to defeat the Mongols and prevent them from launching a full invasion of the mainland. It seems like a similar game to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice which garnered a lot of appreciation from critics and fans alike. But there is not much to guarantee that this game will be as good as that one. So GamePod’s verdict: Wait for Reviews.

Number 4) Halo Infinite “We have Halo!” is pretty much the only response that Xbox fans blurt out when having a debate with their Playstation counterparts on the quality of exclusives available on their respective platforms. After receiving lukewarm response for the last 2 Halo games, Halo 5: Guardians and Halo Wars 2, and cancellation of previously announced new IP 'Scalebound', Xbox fans are expecting ‘Halo: Infinite’ to knock it out of the park. The game is set to be released as a launch title for Xbox Series X in late 2020 and is the sixth main entry of the Halo series, and the fourteenth game overall. It will feature split-screen again, in response to the backlash of its removal in the previous game. It will also have a beta prior to its release, described as an insider flight program. If you get an Xbox Series X at launch, this is definitely an exclusive that you should pick up as it’s their flagship game. Our verdict < Buy > Number 3) Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla The twelfth major installment and the twenty-second release in the Assassin's Creed series, Valhalla is a successor to the 2018 game Odyssey. Set in 873 AD, this time around we will get to play as a Viking warrior who is leading his clan to settle in the new lands of England, due to war and overcrowding in their homeland of Norway. It has already been in development for more than 2 and a half years and after the success of Odyssey, the fan expectations are high to say the least. Hardcore fans of the series: You will buy it anyway. For others, if you really want to play assassins creed - the previous games are available to buy online for pretty good deals quite often, so we would advise you to check those out first and < Wait > for this one.

Number 2) FIFA 21 Walking on the path laid out by Apple, the people at EA showcase FIFA every year with the exact same pitch, pun intended :) Slightly better graphics, slightly better animations, latest roster updates. There is really not much to say here, and that in itself says a lot. If you bought a console just to play FIFA, then we can only pray for you to discover other games through our channel or through the many other channels that promote gaming. For the rest of you guys, if you have recent iterations of this game , we would suggest you to go to your friend’s house and play FIFA 21 if you really want to Our verdict < Borrow > Don’t waste your money on it. And that brings us to...

Number 1) Spider-Man: Miles Morales After the hugely successful Marvel’s Spider-Man on Playstation 4, the studio is coming out with another one – this time focusing on Miles Morales’ spiderman who was one of the supporting characters in the first game. Its trailer was definitely one of the highlights of the recent PS5 event and since then we have been getting to know more about game through the official channels. This has been confirmed to not be a direct sequel to the original game and instead is a standalone game along the lines of Uncharted: Lost Legacy. It is set a year after Spider-Man and will be about half as long. It will release later this year and we’re excited to see how Insomniac has utilized the next-gen PS5 console to enhance the character and gameplay. Now, this may be cheaper at launch since it’s a standalone game But if you are going to buy PS5, then you might as well get this launch title. Maybe it will come with a bundle offer at launch as well. GamePod's verdict < Buy > For others who are going to wait a while before buying PS5, apparently you don’t have a choice. ...And that brings us to the end of the video. We hope you enjoyed it. Please give it a thumbs up if you liked it and hit that subscribe button for more such content. This is Nishad...from Gamepod Studios and as always, Stay safe and we’ll see you in the video :)
