PS5 and the new Metal Slug Console Game 2020 & KOF XV (Official News).

I don't usually make this kind of video but when I do, oh boy you bet it's gotta be important. I'm legit so pissed off at all the fake leaks and rumors being spread online about the new Metal Slug games and King of Fighters 15. I'm making my own video to wrap things up.

Don't worry I also have some parts to cover about the Playstation 5. But first off I need to get all the SNK news out of the way. By the way I don't think my accent has improved much since the last time I made a commentary video, but I just have to relay some information for all the SNK fans out there.

Actually I have been wanting to make a video talking about this ever since Playstation 5's reveal and Metal Slug Code:J's debut. Like seriously when I take a look at Metal Slug Code:J's trailer most of the comments I see are people shitting on Tencent for apparently ruining the franchise which is highly subjective.

Also people getting pissed off at SNK for selling their license to Tencent and somehow came to the conclusion that Code:J is the new Metal Slug game that's been rumored since 2019. Well, this video is gonna clear up all the misunderstandings and give you guys a clear picture of the current state of Metal Slug games.

Now first of all, NO. Everything you heard and seen about Metal Slug Code:J have absolutely nothing to do with the rumored Metal Slug games being worked on by SNK themselves. There are still videos and official tweets talking about the new Metal Slug game made for console on the internet from 2019 along with new SNK Neo Geo consoles as well.

But people have seemingly forgotten about them even though are plenty of official sources out there, people never bothered to do deep research or simply searching it up on google. Now since Code:J's announcement there might be some other articles tied with the name "New Metal Slug in 2020" But please do not get confused by those.

SNK's projects have absolutely nothing to do with Code:J. As it states here - Global game company SNK Interactive announced on the 8th that new games for mobile and console versions based on'Metal Slug' IP are being developed. Yes, you didn't read it wrong, it does say 2 new Metal Slug games are being worked on.

Furthermore it clearly states here The Metal Slug being developed this time is not related to the game that Tencent, the largest game company in China will show this year through Timi Studio, and it is meaningful that SNK will develop it in-house. This development project is underway in Japan.

About 80% of mobile games are currently being developed. While the article here didn't mention anything about the release date, 80 percent sounds like a pretty good sign, and it also reveals that this game will be a 2D side-scrolling card-type mobile game and it will be serviced through iOS and Android platforms within this year.

Wooooow that sounds like good news isn't it? Now that we already have Metal Slug Defense and Metal Slug Attack SNK is giving us a third mobile game, no I'm not talking about Code:J because that isn't by SNK but still pretty hype. Now continue to this, As for the console platform use, it started to develop the action shooting genre.

SNK Interactive CEO Se-Hwan Jeon said, “The metal slug game for mobile and console that will be released this year is focused on making it possible to span the 1020th and 3040th generations. Now I have not the slightest idea what do they mean by 1020th generation and 3040th generation at all.

But it's highly likely related to the new generation consoles which would be the PS5 and Xbox Series X. As it is self-development, all manpower is mobilized, and I will show a familiar and novel appearance as well as being faithful to the basics. Now don't get shocked but what they mean by novel appearance here might be none other than visual novel style of gameplay, and that is character sprites being slapped on the screen while you read through the texts on screen, sorta like this.

And it also mentioned something along the lines of action shooting genre, which means it could be 2D, 2.5D or 3D, boosting the possibility that the game will be made for the next generation console. And finally, "He added, “We will not neglect to expand and strengthen the value of our current IP with the goal of developing more than one game every year." Thanks for the hardwork SNK.

We love you. And to sum things up, there are two new Metal Slug games being worked on by SNK themselves, one is for mobile and one is for console. For the latter it's highly likely to be a console exclusive, and for the new generation console as well which is, again, the Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X.

And for the mobile game it's highly likely to be another tower defense genre as it mentioned 2D side-scrolling card type mobile game, which perfectly fits the description of the current Metal Slug Attack. And both are said to be released within this year.

Dear god I just hope I can get a PS5 at launch so I get to play this game and record gameplays for you guys to see, I'm still bummed out about the recent PS5 pre-order disaster after the recent announcement. Sony really did an oopsie this time. But nonetheless I'm very positive about the new Metal Slug console game is going to be on the PS5.

Just like the king of fighters 15, yep now I'm gonna move onto the KOF 15. And first of all I need to make this one thing clear, is that all of the supposedly leaks out there are FAKE and the only trustable source is this, Yasuyuki Oda's official twitter account which states "KOF 15 is in development" to tell all the fans that "guys guys don't panic we're still working on the KOF 15 but we need some more time, we haven't forgotten about it yet despite that we have been silent about KOF 15 since the teaser announced last year August".

In a nutshell, lol. The only official news we have for KOF 15 is that Shun'ei, the new guy from KOF 14 is gonna be in the roster and quite possibly replacing Kyo as the protagonist of the decade, the game is also going to be developed using Unreal Engine 4.

Which means the graphics will be a huge boost from what KOF 14 was. SNK also recently said this in an interview that they're committed to releasing multiplatorm games closer together, thanks to the SNK Discord community for telling me this, i'll put the link in the description in case anyone else is interested in joining.

And now let's wrap this video up! The Playstation 5 aka the PS5, is gonna be released on November the 19th worldwidely. Ooooh I can hear my wallet screaming in agony. And the first few games I'm gonna buy along with the PS5 is none other than Spiderman, Resident Evil 8 and the new Five Nights at Freddy's.
