Bethesda Softworks ● От разработчиков Resident Evil и The Evil Within: GhostWire: Tokyo.

Let's talk today about the game, the announcement of which made the most impression on me at the last E3 exhibition, namely Ghostwire: Tokyo, whose trailer impressed me even much more than Cyberpunk 2077 and the appearance of Keanu Reeves, whom I did not even recognize, since I only remembered him young, playing Neo in the Matrix.

And then some bearded man came out, everyone is jubilant, I'm not in the subject. And to be honest, I'm not even ashamed, because I don't really follow the Western film industry, and I know the actors only by their main and key roles, which are often called "the role of the whole career." But now is not about that.

Surely fans of the horror or mystery genre have been looking forward to the upcoming Ghostwire Tokio ever since the announcement at E3. And it's not for nothing. The expectation of the game is mainly due to the fact that this is not any average indie horror game in which you need to collect notes, catch screamers and run away from a monster chasing you, the developers of this game in this genre are not unknown.

The project is created under the leadership of a creative Director Ikumi Nakamura and Shinji Mikami. I probably got it wrong with accents, but I think you'll forgive me. You know the latter as the creator of The Resident Evil series, as well as the equally creepy The Evil Within.

However, in Ghostwire, the role of the main host is transferred to Nakamura, this is the charming charming girl from the presentation. After which she gained incredible popularity on social networks. Prior to that, she was best known as the lead concept artist for the two parts of The Evil Within.

Those most memorable monsters from Shinji Mikami's games became her hallmark and, most likely, this is what gave her the opportunity to later make her own game. She has her own attitude towards creating monsters; in her artbook for The Evil Within, the artist wrote that the key to real horror is in the balance between reality and fantastic design.

If you get too carried away with design, horror will not be as effective. By the way, she fell in love with horror since childhood. She loved to watch films about zombies, but the most powerful impression on her was the film "Hellraiser", which she watched almost every day.

According to her, zombies, of course, can be scary, but in general they are still people. But HellRaiser is a completely different level. It's kind of like a nightmare. And I completely agree with her. As a child, he himself was terribly afraid of this film.

Most recently, Ikumi Nakamura tweeted Enthusiastic Apocalypse + Near Future Tokyo + Supernatural. She linked the game trailer shown at E3, labeled it as "Official Trailer" and added the question, "Normal" or "Paranormal?" Thus, we now know that the action of the game will not unfold in the present time of Tokyo, but in the near future.

In addition, a video was attached to the post, it shows a female silhouette who in the night looks at the roofs of a metropolis illuminated by neon lights. It is raining and crows are flying by. Or Ravens Looks more like a GIF, however, there is a curious point to be drawn from this.

The initially seeming protagonist in the E3 trailer is apparently male, while the figure on the roof looks feminine. Thus, theoretically, there can be either several main characters, or one of them has some kind of secondary importance. This is still a mystery.

What the game is all about. There is currently no exact answer to this question, and therefore we can only build on what we saw in the trailer and from the official description of the game on the Bethesda website. In general, in a nutshell. In a large Japanese city, people suddenly begin to disappear, behind this phenomenon, apparently, are some gloomy figures in black suits.

Their motives are unclear to us. For example, in the trailer, we see figures in traditional Japanese clothing, some symbols of Buddhist origin, or a famous arch that turns into a long corridor. The white mask with the broken horn shown in the trailer also has its origins in classical theater, so as you can see, I prepared a bit.

At E3, during the presentation, it was also said that Ghostwire will have a horror adventure game. That is, the gameplay is likely to be a little more combat and faster than in The Evil Within, which is essentially a Survival horror. Surely even Shinji Mikami and Ikumi Nakamura's involvement should be a weighty argument for any fan of the genre that Ghostwire: Tokyo should be expected.

And although the gameplay was not shown to us in the trailer, it looked very promising. I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to this game. When and on what platforms Ghostwire: Tokyo will appear is not yet known. Write in the comments what you expect from the game.
