A Super Serious Parkasaurus Review

Before we get into this review, will you give me 100% of your attention for a moment and if you are about to click off, please let me know first in the comment section, why. I want to make sure that you get the content you want to see from this channel.

Any way that I can improve for your enjoyment will be considered. That said let's get into the review of parkasaurus. Do you like Jurassic park? Do you like money? Do you like sim games? This game combines those elements in a way no game has successfully done since dinopark tycoon.

Maybe you remember those golden days in the 90s playing it on school computers, if you don't here's your chance. Except this way you can experience it in pajamas and without a bowl cut like I had back then. Don't take my word for it let's see what some customers of parkasaurus have to say, 4 stars "Fart" mmm profound.

"I slept on a bench, yeah me too if my youtube doesn't take off soon" The game is fun, but how fun, is it worth your money? Stay tuned. So what do you call a dinosaur with a big vocabulary? A thesaurus. or The premise of Parkasaurus is pretty simple.

You are dinosaurs...from space?? and you land on earth and immediately start using DNA from your species to enslave your descendents for the sake of human wonderment, but more importantly money! Say it kinda cocky There are different maps which you play through meeting objectives to unlock ship parts to allow you to go back to space.

Parkasaurus gameplay is really fun. If you enjoyed other tycoon style games such as zoo tycoon and were like, I need more dinosaurs in my simulated life, this will more than scratch that itch. Each level has different objectives and layouts with different challenges to solve and different themes and biomes.

You start with little money but can bilk your customers like some kind of breathing, money generating atm meatbag, as if you were the ceo of a real company. Soon you will be rolling in it, hiring more employees to do your bidding while you play golf in like, barbatos or something.

You will design your park from the smallest details, where customers, walk, what they will encounter, which dinos to put and where. You dig for dino fossils in a fun little mini game to keep your dino eggs stocked up and hunt for the specific breed you want in the different families.

You can unlock more and more park items on each level by collecting science from scientists working and collecting dino hearts from making dino's happy. You can make dinosaurs happy by fulfilling their needs and making their biomes realistic in a really cool design feature which changes it based off the types of rock, bushes and trees used, elevation and water amount etc.

You can also make them look friggin stupid by putting various hats on them, probably the single greatest design choice I have seen in any sim game. You're not just here for the hats though, you could be actually I don't know, but there's more to Parkasaurus gameplay than the hats.

Just be careful to keep your dino's well fenced and the fences in good repair or your favorite T-rex jonesy could start rampaging and eating your guests. There is a town where you can trade currencies at the bank, get eggs, hats, gems and food There is a lot of detail they put in the gameplay, your employees level up and you can spend their skill points They have it so customers give feedback to improve your park, some customers are better than others at this /hard cut/ "MEH, what do you mean MEH! You gave us 4 stars!" There are day and night cycles, and wheather changes and even seasons.

Designing your park and laying it out is fun and one of the highlights, you will constantly want to plan ahead, saving money for the next big item, saving certain areas for maximum customer shakedowns and more. Honestly if you even slightly like sim games you will enjoy the gameplay, this is one of the most addictive sims I have played, it is somehow both really indepth allowing you to adjust the tiniest details while being simple enough not to overwhelm you with menu clutter or design options.

They struck in my opinion the perfect balance between customization choices and simplicity. They also included the cool but somewhat odd choice of being able to go into first person and run around your park with a gun, supposedly it is used to help with dinosaur breakouts, but I mostly used it to simulate what 2020 did to us.

"Hey bud where you going with that hotdog? No eating in the bathroom it's unsanitary!" "Where are you going with that? Better not be the bathroom, I can't take any chances" "where are you going with your hilariously oversized hotdogs?" "he could be going anywhere" "you only have cotton candy mam no need to worry, carry on" What you get is what you see, graphics look simple but good, I am personally not a fan of this type of art style, but it fits.

Dinosaurs are vibrant and seem to come in random colors which is awesome because we actually don't know what color dinos were, so it's a nice touch. The fact you can customize building colors and transform biomes and park layouts into basically whatever you want makes up for the simplistic graphics.

Despite the vibrant colors I didn't find myself to tire of them and the art style though not my taste didn't lead to any fatigue in my longer play sessions. The tracks in Parkasaurus are simple and relaxing. They have a minimalistic vibe adding just enough to blend into the background while you play.

You will likely enjoy it, none of the tracks will be going on your playlists but while you are in game they are perfect to zone out and chill to. Audio sounds are good too. Dinosaurs roar when you are zoomed in on them, you will hear birds chirping as you go by foresty biomes and other nice little touchs.

None of the audio is mindblowing but it does suit the game and they still put more effort in than a lot of other sim games do. Difficulty is balanced, I never felt overwhelmed and each level spices it up and changes certain aspects of how you will approach victory.

You can create custom maps with varying settings such as starting money and more to customize the difficulty and play a more sandbox type mode. Overall the difficulty is right where you want it for a sim game. The game has huge bang for your buck, the campaign is likely around 30-40 hours and with the sandbox mode and the ability to keep playing maps after you meet their objectives the play time can be significantly longer.

I would say you could easily get 100+ hours out of this game. Modders have not taken too much interest in this as of yet, likely since it just released a couple weeks ago but I imagine now that this is a ripe game for modding adding some value there.

The price being currently 24.99 on steam makes this game a steal. I didn't encounter any bugs and performance was good, I imagine this can run on most people's computers without any issues. Should you buy Parkasaurus? Yes. Overall everything comes together to make a playful dinosaur park sim that is a joy to play.

With a variety of hats to dress your favorite dinos up, vast customization and good pacing on campaign levels, a sandbox mode, passive bonuses to unlock and the addictive gameplay, it is worth your time and money. I give parkasaurus an 8.5/10 NO, put that down jonesy, you have no idea where it's been! come back here, Sir don't be dramatic, he's just cuddling you with his teeth.
