Armen Prediction: Top 5 Finalists from CrossFit Games 2020.

What's up friends! This is Armen Hammer. Today we will talk about my personal prediction on the best five of the online stage of the CrossFit Games 2020. In other words: who will make it to the face-to-face finals of the CrossFit Games 2020? Let's go there! There are still many unknowns about the 2020 CrossFit Games, specifically about this online stage. There are only two and a half weeks approximately until the start of the competition on September 18, and we still do not know how many days the competition will last, what kind of events They will face, how many events will they face, but we do know that they had a kind of call this past Friday, according to Morning Chalk Up, where they were told that it would be best if they got a place to run outside and something to measure their distance, so ... maybe they'll go for a run! Also, according to an article in Morning Chalk Up, athletes were asked to ensure they have a GHD, as well as to compete completely in private: spectators will not be allowed or other competitors will be allowed access while they do the routines. My this sounds to me like, in essence, they will be giving the athletes a kind of window of time, according to their own local schedule, to do the necessary routines and then they will wait for them to complete all the routines before revealing So it would appear that they will have only one attempt, only one chance to do it in a specific part of the day before moving on to the next event scheduled for the next part of the day, and so on ... There is a bit more information in said Morning Chalk Up article, if you want to read it the league is in the video description but, we are here to talk about my predictions on the best five of the online segment. This top five forecast does not I'm in no way cementing it with helpful information from the 2020 CrossFit Games online stage, because it turns out ... we don't have any useful information about the 2020 CrossFit Games online stage! So, nothing we've learned so far has given me any information to change what I think are the important qualities of an athlete who can make it to the top five, who can make it to the face-to-face finals. We will start on the men's side. I did indeed send this list to BarBend as well, there is an article out there where we are Pat Vellner, Noah Ohlsen, myself and maybe other people making their predictions on who will be the top five from the online stage. that, if you want to read this list you can see it there too, but, well! On the men's side my pick of the top five probably won't sound too controversial, except, perhaps, for one person. It's not in any particular order except for number one, first place obviously. I think the top five who will make it to the 2020 CrossFit Games face-to-face finals are: Mat Fraser, Patrick Vellner, Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson, Jeffrey Adler and Chandler Smith. Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson is for some reason always excluded. He just doesn't get the credit he deserves even though he's been on the podium multiple times at the Games. He is exceptionally good at this kind of competition and knows how to prepare to really perform at his best when it matters, and guess when it matters? In the online stage of the 2020 CrossFit Games. The other two athletes: Jeffrey Adler and Chandler Smith. In my opinion, Chandler Smith is on an almost inevitable path to greatness. He's improved in an almost ridiculous way, comparing where he was when he first came out on the scene with where he is today. Chandler Smith is really good at what he does and has been improving at an exceptional rate. So it's going straight on a bullet train to an incredible level of capability. And Jeffrey Adler, in case you don't remember, nearly won the World Open - in fact, he beat Patrick Vellner in Canada. This is to show you the intricate details that can come when you have a smaller group of competitors: Jeff Adler lost to Pat within the world scores, but he actually beat him within the Canadian scores. He played at the Open and because surely the 2020 CrossFit Games online stage events will be presented, to some extent, Open-style, I really think Jeff Adler has a chance to pull it off. On the women's side we have five family names: Tia-Clair Toomey, yeah ... Duh! Sara Sigmundsdottir, also "yes, Duh!"; Kara Saunders, Katrin Davidsdottir, and Kristin Holte. That is my forecast. Obviously Tia-Clair Toomey, Sara Sigmundsdottir ... it goes without saying. She is absolutely a legend. She is returning from a stint away, after giving birth to her daughter. Having a tear, he has excelled at the Open, excelled in a face-to-face competition at the start of the year and performed very, very well at the Rogue Invitational, considering he was competing at 1:00 a.m. for two consecutive days, for So with that in mind, if she competes on her local time slot, she'll probably have her old-school Kara Saunders-style appearances where she beats all the competitors. And of course we have Katrin Davidsdottir, the Sled Dog.

. De performs quite well, and also when you have a clear goal in mind. And I think without the distractions of what happens at the CrossFit Games, her mental strength will take her to the next level. And of course, lastly: Kristin Holte. Like Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson, she is somehow excluded a lot, for whatever reasons. But, don't exclude Kristin Holte! She performs exceptionally well in competitions like the Open and she performs very well in Games-level competitions, those are two things going for her. There you have it, folks! Without knowing any useful or relevant details of what the online stage of the 2020 CrossFit Games will look like, those are my predictions on the top five that will make it to the face-to-face finals. How wrong am I? I don't know, we'll know in about two and a half weeks, but how much do they differ from me? I'm pretty sure I'll find out pretty soon by looking at the comment section after I upload this! Thank you all very much for watching the video and for being here! Let me know what you think is going to happen ..
